Coming Soon: Netflix Restaurants in Major Cities (2024)

Imagine being able to experience your favorite Netflix show through your taste buds. Well, you’d be delighted to know that entertainment giant Netflix is already working on not one—but two—Netflix Houses to provide its subscribers “immersive experiences” starting fall 2025.

The entertainment venues are being constructed at two of America’s most popular malls located in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania and Dallas, Texas. These will be the first two locations of this new concept from the video streaming brand.

Netflix said that the 2025 opening of the two Netflix Houses will feature viewings of the platform’s popular titles, as well as official merchandise and unique foodservice. Until then, subscribers can imagine walking through the spooky streets of Hawkins from “Stranger Things” or enjoying the lavish setting of the Bridgerton mansion. Once Netflix House opens its doors, fans’ dreams of living their favorite Netflix shows will finally become a reality.

What Else Has Netflix Been Up To

If you’re a subscriber and often on Netflix looking for the next best movie or show to binge, you might have already noticed one of their newest titles “Unfrosted.” It’s a parody film on the origins of popular breakfast pastry, the Pop-Tart. It stars Jerry Seinfeld, who is also the director of the movie, along with Melissa McCarthy, Amy Schumer, and other big Hollywood names like Hugh Grant, James Marsden, and Peter Dinklage.

The movie release led to a team-up between Netflix and Kellog’s Pop-Tart, where the breakfast pastry brand gave away Unfrosted Strawberry Pop-Tarts boxed in limited-edition packaging that features Jerry Seinfeld holding up the unfrosted pastry called “Trat-Pop” in the movie. While the film got an IMDb rating of 5.5/10, watching it will surely still bring some laughs, considering the movie’s star-studded comedy cast.

What To Expect When Netflix House Opens

Upon reading this exciting news, one can only imagine what awaits at these upcoming Netflix Houses. This is what we know so far.

Immersive Experiences: Those who have had the chance to participate in any of Netflix’s live experiences for titles like “Stranger Things,” “Bridgerton,” “Squid Game,” and “Money Heist” can expect expanded versions of these attractions to be featured at the Netflix Houses, providing fans with an enhanced and more thrilling experience of each title.

Retail Therapy: Subscribers will finally have the chance to get official and iconic merchandise based on their favorite shows. While Netflix already has an online store for this very concept, there is good reason to believe that Netflix House might offer wider selections and perhaps more exclusive types of merch than what’s already on the Netflix shop.

Unique Foodservice: If you recall Netflix’s pop-up restaurant in Los Angeles called “Netflix Bites,” spokespersons hinted that the 2023 culinary event would influence Netflix House’s foodservice menu. Official details are still under wraps, but considering that the pop-up featured top Netflix chefs like Jacques Torres from “Nailed It!” and Nadiya Hussain from “Nadiya Bakes,” it’s safe to assume that the food will be a flavorful feast for sure.

The upcoming Netflix Houses will be located at the King of Prussia Mall in Pennsylvania and at Galeria Dallas in Texas. Fans can look forward to further announcements on the grand openings of these permanent locations, which can be checked on Netflix’s official webpages.

I am a huge fan of period dramas and Bridgerton is definitely in my top five. I already have the Bridgerton Muse Teapot and Tea Set from Netflix shop and I want more. Netflix’s version of Anne of Green Gables—Anne with an ‘E’—is another classic period drama I loved before it got cancelled. I would love to see a much wider selection of food-related merch once these upcoming Netflix Houses are open for business.
