Why You’ll Love This Copycat Recipe

  • Quick and Easy:You can’t beat a topping that comes together in just five minutes and delivers such a sweet flavor punch.
  • Irresistible Flavor: Cinnamon honey butter combines the warmth of cinnamon and the sweetness of honey, creating a delectable spread that’s both comforting and indulgent.
  • Copycat Recipe: To give you a good flavor comparison, this recipe tastes almost exactly like the spread you get at Texas Roadhouse. I could eat this with a spoon.

This copycat Texas Roadhouse butter is even BETTER than the original. It is the perfect sweet spread to almost any food and it’s the best thing to take any meal to the next level. I’ll be the first to admit, there have been times when I whipped up a batch of cornbread just so I could slather it in this sweet butter. Nothing quite compares to that bite that has the perfect balance of warm bread and a perfect dollop of melted cinnamon butter. It is divine.

This butter is a heavenly fusion of flavors that tastes like a warm embrace from your taste buds. The rich creaminess of butter is beautifully complemented by the sweet, golden goodness of honey. Then, a gentle kick of aromatic cinnamon sweeps in, creating a symphony of sweet, spicy, and comforting notes. It’s like a cozy hug for your palate, making every bite feel like a treat.

Cinnamon Honey Butter Ingredients

The great thing about this recipe is that it only calls for three simple ingredients- all three of which are pantry staples. You can make this in advance and it is a big show stopper on the table. Minimal effort with a big flavor? I consider that a win! Here is what you will need to get started:

  • Butter: Here’s the biggest tip I can give you. Use salted butter. The added salt helps to enhance the sweetness from the honey and the slight spice of the cinnamon. It helps blend everything together in a harmonious flavor bite. If you opt for unsalted I suggest adding a pinch of salt to the recipe.
  • Cinnamon: Ground cinnamon, which I happen to buy in bulk at Costco, is what you’ll want to use. It’s one of my favorite things about this honey cinnamon butter.
  • Honey: I buy the bigger honey containers from Costco, but have also been known to use local raw honey with equally delicious results. In a pinch you could also try maple syrup, although this would give you more of a maple flavor vs the sweet honey.

Tip: I have seen many many recipes add powdered sugar to their Texas Roadhouse butter recipe. I have experimented with and without and see no need for the added sweetness.

Cinnamon Honey Butter Recipe

  1. Soften the Butter:Ensure your butter is softened to room temperature. This will make it easier to mix and achieve a smooth consistency.
  2. Mix Butter and Honey:In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and honey. Use a spatula or hand mixer to blend them together. Continue mixing until the mixture becomes creamy and well combined.
  3. Add Cinnamon:Sprinkle in the 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. This aromatic spice will infuse your butter with its warm, fragrant flavor. Stir it into the mixture until the cinnamon is evenly distributed, creating that signature cinnamon swirl.
  4. Taste and Adjust:Give your Cinnamon Honey Butter a taste test. If you prefer a stronger cinnamon flavor or a touch more sweetness, feel free to adjust by adding a bit more honey or cinnamon, but do it in small increments to avoid overpowering the butter.
  5. Chill or Serve:You can serve the Cinnamon Honey Butter immediately for instant gratification, or for a firmer consistency and to allow the flavors to meld even more, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate it for about 30 minutes.
  6. Serve with Delight:Your homemade Cinnamon Honey Butter is now ready to be enjoyed! Slather it on freshly baked bread, pancakes, waffles, or whatever your heart desires.
  7. Storage:If you have any leftovers (which might be rare because it’s so good), store the butter in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It should keep well for a couple of weeks.

That’s it! You’ve just created a delightful and indulgent treat that will elevate your breakfasts and snacks to a whole new level. Enjoy!

Cinnamon Honey Butter

Created by: Jesseca

Prep Time 5 minutes minutes

Total Time 5 minutes minutes

1 cup

This Cinnamon Honey Butter Recipe comes together in just 5-minutes and uses only 3-ingredients! A perfect copycat Texas Roadhouse Butter that tastes great on rolls, toast, muffins and more!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup salted butter softened
  • 6 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  • Add the butter to a medium mixing bowl.

  • Beat with a hand mixer, or by hand with a spatula, for 1-2 minutes or until it starts to look more “whipped.”

  • Scrape the sides of the bowl to move all of the butter towards the center.

  • Add the honey and cinnamon.

  • Mix until fully incorporated, another 1 to 2 minutes.

  • Serve with your favorite breads or treats.

Notes

  • Make sure the butter is room temperature. Leaving it out of the refrigerator for 20 minutes or more will help you start with a soft butter- which means the honey can mix in evenly.
  • Want to make this a dairy free cinnamon butter? Opt for a vegan butter option like Earth’s Balance in place of the butter.

Is there an actual recipe in there somewhere? I’ve dodged the excessive ads three times, but nowhere do I find how much butter, how much honey, or how much cinnamon! You call this a recipe?!

Hi there Kim, sounds like you’re not having a great day and could use a little kindness. I’ll help you figure out how to find the recipe. At the top of the post there is a “JUMP” button that takes you straight to the recipe card so you don’t have to deal with scrolling, even though scrolling is what helps me keep these recipes free. The recipe card is located at the bottom of the post, which is actually filled with all kinds of helpful information and not written without purpose. The full recipe and measurements is in that card. It’s even printable.

Hope this helps and I hope that maybe in the future you could extend a little kindness to others before posting a negative rating (without actually trying the recipe). I make myself available to help anyone that is struggling with a recipe, or my site, and am always happy to help.

I didn’t like it at all. Way too much honey. I tried this recipe because my sister wanted something more like texas road house has, this wasn’t it. I like it made with marshmallow cream and powdered sugar, sooo much better.

Fair enough. However, this recipe is a very traditional honey butter. You could always decrease the amount of honey added if you found it too sweet. I make this for all of our big family dinners and food deliveries. This is the first complaint about it not having marshmallow creme.
